Just waiting . . .

So, the day has finally come and I am still waiting!!  My water broke this morning at about 7:30.  I went to the doctor at 8:30 and they said everything looked good after doing a stress test (heart rate for 15 min.) on the baby and even though I was already dilated to 5 cm. they said I could go home and wait.  So, I went home and got my house cleaned, did the dishes, played with Trenton, took a shower, painted my toenails . . . and the contractions still hadn't started!!!  It is 4:30 pm and I've finally been having some slight contractions every 3 minutes apart for the last 45 minutes.  My doctor's still okay with me waiting to go to the hospital, so I thought hey, may as well catch up my blog, while I'm sitting around!!  I really thought I would have an October baby (especially since I was due on the 10th) and she may be yet if I can just make it until midnight!!  Nyk told me to keep my legs crossed. :) Like that's gonna work!!  So, anyway, I will keep everyone posted and get some pictures of little Karlee as soon as she's here!!!

My friend tagged me in a post with some questions for me to answer about myself.  The state I'm in my sway my answers, but here we go:

1. What is your worst fear?
Me or someone I know drowning.
2. What one object (not person) makes you the happiest?
My sewing machine/surger--I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't sew!
3. What is your LEAST favorite food?
Fish (the really fishy tasting river fish . . . blech)
4. If you could be famous for something, what would you want it to be?
Doing something kind/heroic for someone else
5. What is your favorite fairy tale/bedtime story?
Cinderella
6. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Right here in Rexburg, where I live now!  I love it here!!
7. What's your favorite car?
I've always loved Chevy Cobalts for their looks, but when it comes to practicality and fitting my lifestyle, definitely the Expedition that I have now . . . I love it!!!
8. What is the most random hobby you have?
Playing the accordion

The Latest

So, if you go to my next two posts you'll see what we've been doing this summer, but here is the latest.
We started our garden really late this year, but we've gotten a few wonderful veggies out of it.
I picked all three of these zucchinis at the same time after not checking the garden for a few days.
The smallest is a normal-sized garden zucchini
which gives you an idea how big that biggest one really is.
Here's the first fruit of labor--a yellow pear tomato.
We've had a few more a and a few more cherry tomatoes.
Trenton and his friend Bentley at the Blackfoot Fair petting zoo.
On the train at the fair
building at a booth at the fair
playing in the sand
Nyk played on the free stage at the fair on Saturday and twice on Monday.
I'm so proud of him and his band!
Trenton got to ride one ride and he picked the cars one.  Imagine that!
Last of all, an update on the pregnancy.  I only have a month left and I'm feeling ready and not at the same time.  There's still things to get done, but this pregnancy has been a lot different then the first.  My feet are always swollen, I'm warmer than Nyk (which is really weird), and because Karlee sits so low I always feel like I need to pee and almost do every time I sneeze or jump.  It's horrible, but I shouldn't complain, because a lot of people have it a lot worse than I do!  Trenton's getting really excited to see Karlee and so are we . . . 5 more weeks!
12 weeks
20 weeks
32 weeks

August update

As I promised in my catch-up of July here is what we did in August.
Trenton at Bear World
Trenton being a bear
Trenton and cousin Natalie petting the goat
petting the Bambi deer
the baby bears playing rough
the spinning bear ride at Bear World (so cool that the rides were included)
The rollercoaster
the bouncing cars
My new little niece Clara at the hospital
Nyk had a lot of gigs this summer.  Luckily lots of them were paying ones.
This was at the Bluegrass Festival in Swan Valley.
Nyk playing a mandolin worth $200,000!!
Last but not least, Trenton's beautiful artwork!
He also tattooed his belly button!

Summer catch-up

Well, props to those that can actually keep up on their blogs during the summer. We've been pretty busy and I won't bore everyone with too much detail, but I'll provide enough pictures to give you all a glimpse into what we did this summer.  This is probably going to take a couple posts, so here is July!
At the 3rd of July Parade
Eating a Big Bopper
Watching the Fireworks
Lighting our own fireworks on the 4th
Sparklers
Trenton did the parent/tot swimming lessons at Apple Athletic and loved it!  He did extremely well!
He loves the noodle!
Lifejacket safety
Dunking his head--he hated me doing it to him, but loved to put his head under and blow out bubbles.
Making a rope at the Rainsdon Reunion
The finished product!
Floating the river.  Don't worry, this was on the edge.  We were with him in the tube when we actually floated!
We loved the Blue Angels air show, but not so much the no food/no drink policy.
and there they are
Dinner at Mack's Inn for the Hardcastle Reunion
Our anniversary was the day before we went to Mack's Inn,
so when they asked who was celebrating I raised my hand.
Little did I know they'd make us dance in front of everyone!
Trenton and cousin Riley attacking Nyk in the water.
Nyk wakeboarding for the first time in a few years.  He did really well, but was sure sore!
Shooting guns
Trenton with his earmuffs on.  Those shotguns are loud!  Even Karlee thought so.
Getting ready to catch the candy shot out of a candy cannon.
